Board

In late 2009, following a very deliberate and thoughtful planning process, the Denver Early Childhood Council decided to pursue a path toward 501(c)(3) nonprofit designation. This was deemed necessary to meet the current and future work of the DECC in serving the needs of our young children and their families. In early 2011 we were officially been awarded nonprofit 501(c)(3) status.

Currently, we have a 20 member Board of Directors, with nine members appointed by the Mayor, nine by DPS Superintendent, and two elected by the DECC. The DECC Board of Directors is the governance arm of our coalition.
