The mission of the Denver Early Childhood Council (DECC) is to create a system of early childhood services so that all of the children in Denver are ready for school. The DECC’s collaborative efforts take into account four areas that ultimately impact a child’s school readiness: early care and education, parent/family engagement, mental health, and health.
Purpose
- Coordinate collaborative decision-making about federal, state, local and philanthropic Denver early childhood education financial resources in Denver
- Facilitate collaborative service delivery among public and private providers
- Increase the quality of early childhood care and education services
- Respond to needs of families and providers in Denver
